Grindelwald Glacier Gorge – 300-meter-high rock faces

The Grindelwald Glacier Gorge is an impressive natural wonder that reveals the traces of the immense glacial forces that have shaped the valley over thousands of years.

The trail leads deep into the gorge along footbridges and through tunnels, past rock faces up to 300 meters high. The roar of the Lütschine River, the gentle breeze, and the unique lighting conditions make a visit here an experience for all the senses.

Along the way, you’ll learn more about topics such as geology, glaciers, water, and myths. The gorge is easily accessible and suitable for visitors of all ages.

A special highlight is the Spiderweb, which spans approximately 170 m². This walk-through net stretches across the gorge, offering an extraordinary perspective and a bit of a thrill.

The glacier gorge is typically open from May through November and can be visited even in less-than-ideal weather.
